Bynum:  This Guy...

Bynum: This Guy... | NBA Global | Scoop.it

I don't get LakerNation's myopic hype.  The only reason why this guy isn't considered the second coming of Benoit Benjamin is because he plays for the Lakers.  Oh yes indeed, he's such a space eater, he could dominate if only he yada yada yada.  Year after year.

Most seven footers with a pulse can just stand in the lane and do what he does.  He's had enough years in the system to develop some kind, ANY kind of offensive go to move, but all we continue to get are a series of rudimentary high school level flailings at the basket in hope of a gust of wind to push the ball through the hoop. To make matters worse, he doesn't seem to care much.  He always has that 'shoot, I'm with the Lakers, so who cares?' look in his eye.  Such a competitor.

I'm sure Lakers brass are hoping their plans to swindle the Magic this offseason by dangling a Howard for Bynum straight up deal (as if they are even located somewhere on the same planet) pan out.  Hey, knowing how these things work for the Lakers (Gasol for free, Shaq for free, how did they get Kareem from Milwaukee again?) it just might happen.
